The filter

The Bachelorette was a much-watch program in The Netherlands last year. In the Bachelorette, actress, presenter and model Gaby Blaaser went to the South African sun with eighteen single men for her search for true love.

Niek Marijnissen was one of the eighteen single men who tried to conquer Gaby's heart. In the course of the program, Niek also won the hearts of many Dutch viewers and he was a much discussed participant.

His head nods or otherwise known as 'kniekjes' and his well-known pronunciation; "flesje poppen", which means to pop a bottle, quickly went viral among viewers of the program. Within weeks, Niek, like Gaby, also became an influencer.

He came to the final of the program and exactly then we launched the 'Niekje' filter. The filter went viral in no time and reached as many as 1.3 million people in less than 48 hours!

Besides the fact that the filter had already reached 1.3 million views within less than 48 hours ... a lot more happened. The filter even reached the Dutch national television! In an item about Niek and the denouement of the Bachelorette for RTL Boulevard, the filter was incorporated in the intro video. Watch the clip above.
